Morris Chasanow

  General Notes:

Morris was the first of his family to immigrate. He arrived aboard the SS Westerland on March 7, 1904 in Philadelphia.

In 1905 he married his Bessie Greenberg.

Morris had a variety of jobs: 1907...shirt worker in a factory, later he worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Company, later at a candy and cigar store at 534 South 4th Street in Philadelphia.

Morris married Bessie Greenberg, daughter of Cudalla Greenberg and Unknown, on 1 Mar 1906 in Philadelphia, PA.¹ (Bessie Greenberg was born on 15 Aug 1884 in Ostrow, Russia,⁴ died on 12 Mar 1957 in Phila. PA and was buried in Montifiore Cemetery, Philadelphia.)
